This Whirlpool microwave knows how often you heat up burritos
[MUSIC]
I'm here at Whirlpool's booth at CES 2018 and they have a new product that's an over the range microwave that's internet connected and it works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
That means with limited function, you can tell your smart speaker to start cooking some food in your microwave.
Now this isn't any old microwave.
It has a lot of capabilities beyond just heating up your frozen pizza.
It has a convection fan and a cooking element built in, so it's a little bit like having a small oven right above your real oven.
Another pretty cool feature that works with this oven is its integration with Yummly.
Now Yummly is an app that Whirlpool bought last year and it has some really cool capabilities.
Like being able to identify your food just by putting a camera on it.
But the body of the microwave itself is pretty cool too, even without the app.
It has a touchscreen that lets you do guided cooking, and it will start to learn your cooking habits.
So let's say you always cook oatmeal every morning, it will automatically pop-up with an oatmeal cook setting.
So you can cook your food right away.
This microwave is gonna cost you $619.
It'll be available later this year in the U.S.
