Five Apple Music features you need to try first

Mobile Apps
Apple's new music stream service has arrived. With Apple Music you can listen to and discover new music, connect with artists and more. But it can be a little confusing to navigate. So here are the five features that you should set up and try out first. Number one, choosing artists and genres you like. When you fire up Apple Music, head over to the Account section by clicking the portrait in the top left corner of the screen and choose Artists for You. You'll be greeted with a series of bubbles that will ask you what you're into. Tap the bubbles to express interest or double-tap it if it's something you really love. You could also press and hold a bubble to completely remove it. Click the Next button, and the next page you'll pick a few artists you wanna highlight. And don't worry if you change your mind later. You can always return to this menu at a later time. Apple will then use these interests to generate a list of genres and artists that it thinks you may enjoy. You will find this list in the for you section of the app. Next up, following and unfollowing an artist in connect. When you first set up Apple music, you will automatically follow artists on connect, if you've purchased their music on the iTunes store, or if you previously expressed interest in that artist. Connect is Apple's music social network, where artists can share and well, connect, with fans. Apple has a recommended list of connections that you can choose from, from top artists such as Taylor Swift and Rascal Flats. You can also choose to search for a specific artist and choose to follow them. To unfollow an artist, once again click the portrait in the top left corner of the screen. This time choose following and tap unfollow next to the name of the artist. Number three, creating a playlist. In the my music section of the app, tap on the playlist button found at the top of the screen. And then click on the small new button. Give your playlist a name, add a photo if you would like. And then click, add songs. I find the easiest way to search for the individual artist or song you would like to add, and click the plus icon. Once it's created you can then add more content by pressing the small three dot icon next to a song or album and selecting add to playlist. Just like you can on Spotify, playlists, songs and albums can be saved to your device so you can still play them even when you don't have service. This can be done by clicking the three dot icon next to the playlist, song or album you'd like to save and selecting make available offline. And lastly, don't forget to claim your unique username. For the last time, click on the portrait icon in the top-left corner, click your name, tap edit, and choose a nickname. Unfortunately, Dan was taken, but I still managed to get my full name. This is what will be displayed on your playlists and when you comment on something in Connect. And there you have it, the five features you need to check out in Apple Music.
