Welcome to a tech check of the 2019 Chevy Equinox.
Now I've got a mid LT trim here and it's running Chevy Smiling System on an 8-inch touchscreen What I like about my link is that it's super easy to use.
So let's get right to it.
I've got a redundant home button here, press that and I'm sent to a screen that's got information about what's playing on the radio, what's happening on my phone and where I am in this crazy world of ours.
But I can swipe over and I've got a lot of nice Large Icons Starting with audio here what I love it's super easy to set a preset all I need to do is go to tuned, put in my channel number and I can save this as a preset right here from the screen just press the little star so there's no menus or sub menus to go through.
Moving along when I click on a phone, this is where I can connect my phone via Bluetooth when I did it earlier.
It was super fast,, really easy.
I did not have any problems.
The The navigation, what I love about navigation is my favorite one box entry for both POIs and addresses.
So look, all I need to do is put in ice and it knows that I want ice cream.

But of course I also have a set of pre-determined POIs.
Everything from coffee, ATMs, Chevy dealerships all right there, ready and waiting for me.
if i want to pinch and zoom the screen is really responsive which is awesome and i can decide what i actually want to show on the map just through the options there moving along at the economics has got a wi fi hotspot which is really cool when you're kind of out in the middle of nowhere and your phone isn't getting any LTEs but your car will pick it up and Chevy was one of the first to offer in car wi fi and it's neat to see other manufacturers follow suit Good on you Chevy.
I can customize the car settings to whatever users gonna be there.
So, if you've got two people with different keys, you can have different profiles but what I really like is that you can spy on your kids.
So, you've got a teen drive, let's say, and you want to make sure that they develop good driving habits.
Just enter a PIN and then you can view the report card.
So this is me.
Look I have 17 over speed warnings, but in my defense, that over speed warning is set for 55 miles an hour and I was late this morning.
So desperate times, call for desperate measures.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard but there is a bunch of different apps that you can download on your own like Spotify or the Weather Channel, but I really like the Marketplace app.
So, you might need an account but check it out.

On the whole the mailing system is really easy to use, but it does offer up features that most drivers want.
