Best home security cam deals
This Arlo Pro cam is currently one of our favorite picks for wireless and outdoor security cameras, a complete package with high resolution, a spotlight, great smart home compatibility, and plenty of other bells and whistles. But it's very expensive...until this deal, which drops the price by nearly 30%. If you're interested in only one cam and want it to be one of the best available, think about taking advantage of this discount.
While it's a little more expensive than budget cams, this EufyCam is 40% off with an unprecedented opportunity to get rare features like Apple Home compatibility and object recognition with no additional fee. It also offers a 2K resolution and IP67 weatherproof rating, as well as night vision. You don't usually see a high-end outdoor cam at this price, but keep in mind, if you want video storage, you'll need to buy a Eufy hub and microSD card. Or you could choose this two-cam Eufy package that comes with a hub and is $110 off thanks to a similar deal.
Lorex is currently our go-to choice for local storage-only cameras that stay off the cloud (and can even stay off the internet altogether). This spotlight camera can do a little bit of everything, including object detection, and thanks to Lorex's sitewide Presidents Day sale, it's one of the many cameras available with a discount.
Solar panels help make wireless cams easier to manage, charging up their batteries with a little reliable sunshine. Both those bundles tend to be expensive, so we're always glad to see a solar deal like this option from Reolink. In addition to the solar panel, the panning cam itself sports night vision, two-way audio and compatibility with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
These battery indoor cams aren't quite as good as the Blink Outdoor models, but they're still very competitive for indoor security options, and a 30% discount for two makes them all the sweeter. Amazon's Blink cams come with a vast two-year rating for battery life, motion detection and two-way audio. Plus, there's lots of Alexan and Echo Show compatibility
Thanks to Amazon's certified refurbishment, this Ring Spotlight Plus cam is available for more than 25% off with no worries about quality. It comes with LED lights on either side for a particularly bright spotlight, as well as two-way audio, color night vision and customizable motion zones. It's also wireless, with a battery pack you can remove and charge as needed (which helps keep the cam at the angle you set it). Once again, Ring works amazingly with Alexa but not quite as well with other smart home platforms.
Pet cameras can watch out for intruders, but their primary focus is the Fidos and Felixes in our homes. They can be expensive purchases, but this sale cuts the price by nearly a third. This HD camera has Alexa built in and can provide motion and audio alerts, along with night vision. It even has one of those little treat dispensers to interact with your pet -- just don't overfeed them when you're away.
Home security bundle deals
As Arlo rolls out its second-gen, battery-powered Essential camera line, it's offering some massive discounts on previous camera lines and packages, many 40% or more. This is one of our favorite examples, a three-cam kit that you can use for watching vulnerable spots around small to large homes. The HD cams include integrated spotlights and color night vision.
Ring's eight-piece system ranks highly on our current DIY security picks. This refurbished model is certified and tested by Amazon, so you don't have much to worry about buying used, but you do get a nice discount for it. The kit includes a base station, keypad, four contact sensors and a motion detector. There's also a range extender if your Wi-Fi isn't reaching certain corners of your house.
TP-Link's affordable Tapo system includes two 2K-resolution cams and a connection hub, ideal for a front-and-back camera setup at your home. The cameras are weatherproofed, come with 49-foot night vision, and allow you to set activity zones for identifying people, pets and vehicles. They're all-purpose outdoor security cams that can fill many roles, although you may want to grab a microSD card if you don't plan on using the Tapo subscription service.
Finding a large home security system can feel frustrating if you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars and risk getting locked into a contract. Using this hefty discount, this SimpliSafe system is available for less than $300 -- and while a monitoring subscription is available, you can choose to self-monitor and waive the monthly fees.
Included in this kit is a base station, keypad, pack of entry sensors, motion sensor, key fob, siren and smoke detector. That makes it an effective DIY way to outfit a new home or apartment that's never had security tech before.
Home security starter kits are filled with strong options, but you usually get only a few sensors, along with a hub and keypad to manage. Ecobee's streamlined approach gives you two sensors and skips out on any required hubs or base stations, letting you save more money and setup time. However, note you will need to subscribe to Ecobee Security if you want to get smart alerts on your phone.
Deals on smart locks
The Assure 2 is a full deadbolt replacement with Yale's sturdy design, offering a keypad and app controls for entry. It supports auto locking and unlocking and has excellent platform support, working with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Philips Hue and other devices.
August's durable smart construction often comes with a price to match, but this deal lets you get a fourth-generation August smart lock on more affordable terms. The Wi-Fi smart lock fits onto your existing deadbolt, providing it with app management including the ability to share digital keys. You can also set schedules or make sure the door automatically locks after a certain period of time. The lock also has excellent compatibility, working with platforms including Alexa, HomeKit, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings.
This smart handle set is currently 33% off and offers an aesthetic alternative for those who find products like August smart locks a bit too bulky. While installation takes more work, you get a pair of svelte handles with built-in fingerprint reading for easy unlocks, a keypad deadbolt and key fobs (traditional keys still work too). It's a smart remodel for your entryways that's rarely looked so good. The locks support up to 50 fingerprints and works with both Alexa and Google Home.
Deals on smart home tech
An Echo Show pairs well with any compatible security camera or video doorbell (Blink, Ring, Arlo, Google Nest, etc.), showing you a live view via a quick Alexa voice command, and letting you talk through devices without using the app. This is the most affordable we've seen the excellent Echo Show 8 with a 33% discount. You can also use that screen for video chats, YouTube videos, Amazon Prime shows, looking up recipes, catching the news and much more.
If you're looking for simpler security tech, these little doorstops sound an alarm when they're activated. That's it -- they just help you know when a door has been opened. Sometimes that's all you need, and at under $15 this pair is currently a very good deal.
These two Arlo Safety Buttons are little panic buttons you can take with you everywhere. Program them, track them on the app and use them to automatically alert your emergency contacts and send messages to security monitoring staff so they can contact emergency responders. The buttons require the Arlo Safe Family plan, but they come with a free year and at a 50% discount, it's a lot easier to afford renewing the subscription. Consider them for kids, elderly relatives and others.
Discounted security platform pick
SimpliSafe is currently running some notable sales, including a deal for 50% off a new system if you subscribe to the Fast Protect plan. We're also seeing quite a few usable SimpliSafe coupon codes for similar, currently active deals.
